Ross Roberts

NZGS Chair

Ross is an engineering geologist, Chair of the NZGS, and Auckland Council’s Geotechnical and Geological Practice Lead. He specialises in the management of the risks posed by natural hazards, with a particular interest in landslides, coastal erosion, and the potential impact of climate change. Before joining the public sector Ross spent fifteen years in private consulting, providing technical advice and undertaking design work on construction projects in the UK, Indonesia and Australia ranging from major motorways to geothermal well-pads.
