A great opportunity to catch up with old friends and colleagues before the conference begins. As this is an informal gathering no food or beverages will be provided, however you will be able to purchase items at your own expense.
Thursday 8th August, 7:15 pm
Venue: Te Papa Tongarewa
This year’s ‘Market Night’ is going off-piste and we hope you’ll join us for a NASDAP social event with a difference.
We are delighted to bring you a marketplace food festival style evening, set in Te Papa’s Signs of a Nation and surrounding environment.
Drinks and roving performers will greet you on arrival while you orient yourself to this incredible space and set the scene for a great evening. Themed food stalls will serve plenty of ‘tiny plates’ with Kiwi to international flavours created by the Te Papa chefs.
There’ll be a seating area for those who want to settle in around a table for an evening of conversation with old and new friends. For those who prefer to mix and mingle you can explore the dramatic Signs of a Nation permanent exhibition and view the giant glass replica of the Treaty of Waitangi in this unique and elegant setting. There will also be an opportunity for you to explore Rongomaraeroa; Te Papa’s wharenui.
Then get your dancing shoes on for the rest of the evening to the sounds of Niko Ne Zna – and if you prefer to carry on a conversation or sit it out and watch you can do just that over a drink and coffee.
If you’ve not purchased your ticket yet – make this the year you splash out and join the fun. There really will be something for everyone to enjoy.
