She currently works at Southern Cross Hospital across the surgical continuum. Teena is a past President of the New Zealand Orthopaedic Nurses Association, a fellow of the College of Nurses Aotearoa and a member of the Perioperative College of Nurses. Her substantial clinical experience and national credibility led to her appointment to the inaugural Perioperative Mortality Review Committee (POMRC), an independent mortality review committee that advises the Health Quality &amp; Safety Commission on how to reduce the number of perioperative deaths in New Zealand.
