Ros Woods

Biography

Ros is a Registered Nurse with many years of surgical / PACU experience in Auckland before moving to Tauranga 15 years ago to join the PACU team there. Ros has also been involved in the development and facilitation of Nurse-Led Preassessment Clinics at Tauranga hospital since its inception. With a Certificate in Supervisory Management and a Post Grad Diploma in Nursing, Ros values working with others and using opportunities to support positive work environments, working relationships for improved patient experiences within the hospital setting.

From Gramophone to I-Pod

As a nurse, working as part of a team of nurses within the periop department, there are challenges in how we communicate and understand each other. Part of the reasons for this challenge is the different generations within these teams. By discussing generational differences, my goal is to create a better understanding of our ourselves and our colleagues to enhance positive working relationships.
