We enjoy welcoming visitors to New Zealand and we\u2019d like to think that when you come\u00a0here that you have an experience to remember\u2014but for the right reasons. So if you\u2019re\u00a0coming to New Zealand, it\u2019s a good idea to make sure you have everything ready.<\/p>\n
When you arrive in New Zealand, you\u2019ll need to be carrying a passport that is valid for\u00a0at least three months beyond your intended departure date. Many people will qualify\u00a0for visa-free entry, but depending on your country of origin, some will need to apply\u00a0for a visa before they travel.<\/p>\n
Do you need a visa or permit?<\/strong><\/p>\n
You do not need a visa or permit to visit New Zealand if you are:<\/p>\n
- \n
- A New Zealand\/Australia citizen or Resident Permit holder<\/li>\n
- An Australian citizen travelling on an Australian passport<\/li>\n
- British citizen and\/or British passport holder who can produce evidence of\u00a0the right to reside permanently in the UK (you can stay up to six months)<\/li>\n
- A citizen of a country which has a visa waiver agreement with New Zealand\u00a0(you can stay up to three months).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
If you come from Visa-waiver countries, you don’t need a visa to enter New Zealand,\u00a0but are still required to provide:<\/p>\n

- Travel tickets or evidence of onward travel arrangements<\/li>\n
- Evidence that you can support yourself in New Zealand\u00a0(approximately NZ$1000 per month per person).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
