\nWhen: Monday 29 April | 4.00pm – 5.15pm<\/strong>\n

Join us for a drink and a chat before the Welcome Reception. This is an opportunity to meet other early career delegates before the conference officially starts, and to hear about what ECN events will be taking place during the conference. We will then walk over to Parliament together for the conference Welcome Reception.<\/p>\n


\n<\/strong>Early Career Mentoring Lunch Meeting<\/h4>\nWhere: Icon Room, Te Papa<\/strong>
\nWhen: Tuesday 30 April | 1.05pm – 2.00pm<\/strong>\n

This event will provide ECN’s with the opportunity to have lunch with the keynote speakers and other leaders in the field. Attendees will be provided with a separate catered lunch.<\/p>\n

Early Career Network Social Night<\/h4>\nWhere: Macs Brewbar – <\/strong>view map<\/a>
\nWhen: Tuesday 30 April | 6.30pm<\/strong>\n

Join other early career delegates to sample the nightlife of the capital city of New Zealand! Wellington has some excellent bars and restaurants, and we will aim to visit a few of them over the course of the evening. The night will start at Macs Brewbar for some drinks and food, situated just around the corner from the conference venue.<\/p>\n

Early Career Network Business Meeting<\/h4>\nWhere: Icon Room, Te Papa<\/strong>
\nWhen: Wednesday 1 May | 12.00pm – 1.00pm<\/strong>\n

The ECN business meeting will take place during the regular conference program to discuss the structure, activities and future of the EPICOH ECN group. Everyone interested is invited to attend the meeting to help plan future activities and events.<\/p>\n

Early Career Network Breakfast Mentoring Sessions<\/h4>\n1. WRITING SUCCESSFUL GRANT APPLICATIONS
\n<\/strong>Panel Members: Prof. Jeroen Douwes<\/a>, Prof. Chris Cunningham<\/a>, Prof. Marie-\u00c9lise Parent<\/a>, Prof. Lin Fritchi<\/a>, Prof. Alex Burdorf<\/a>\nWhere: Icon Room, Te Papa<\/strong>
\nWhen: Wednesday 1 May | 7.30am – 8.15am
\nCost: $11<\/strong>\n

This session will involve a panel discussion with senior researchers and research office staff involved with grant application submissions. Panel members will present their views on what makes a successful grant application, and there will be plenty of time to ask questions to the panel. This event will give early career delegates an opportunity to hear from people who have a track record of success in securing grant funding about how to develop a successful application.<\/p>\n

\n<\/strong>Panel Members: Prof. Malcolm Sim<\/a>\nWhere: Icon Room, Te Papa<\/strong>
\nWhen: Thursday 2 May | 7.30am – 8.15am
\nCost: $11<\/strong>\n

This session will involve a panel discussion with editors (editors-in chief or assistant editors), and is organised and led by editors of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. One or two other editors from different journals will also be on the panel. It will provide insight and information on how to get papers published.<\/p>\n
