Cyclone Gabrielle - Learnings on Resilience

The final activity on the pre-conference programme is a look at the issues and initial learnings from the Cyclone Gabrielle.
Cyclone Gabrielle is the costliest tropical cyclone in the southern hemisphere, causing more than $8bn in damages.
It battered multiple lines businesses as it tracked through Northland, Auckland, Coromandel and down the east coast of the North Island. The recovery process continues today as communities and business start to rebuild.
Our session speakers from Powerco, Unison, and Solar Zero will give some initial lessons learnt and insights into how Cyclone Gabrielle is impacting their ‘ 4 Rs’ approach to resilience – reduction, readiness, response and recovery.
