Chair of Process Vegetables New Zealand and the Vegetable Research and Innovation Board
David Hadfield is the current chair of Process Vegetables New Zealand and the Vegetable Research and Innovation Board. He obtained a B.Com(Ag) from Lincoln University in 1988. David spent 27 years in the Accounting industry most of that time as an IT manager.
During that time, David is also a partner in an arable and process vegetable operation with his family. Winning best milling Wheat in New Zealand in 2000 and 2001. The Family also operates a feed mill business supplying the racing industry throughout the South Island along with a contract Cultivation, Drilling and Harvesting operation. David left accounting two years ago to concentrate full time on farming. They had 396 ha in crop in Central Canterbury this year growing Cereals, Pulses, Maize, Grass Seed and Vegetable seeds along with Process Peas and Beans.
